The Festival International de Mode et de Photographie à Hyères

In spring every year the Festival International de Mode et de Photographie à Hyères gathers and presents the ten nominees of their global competition in new fashion design and photography under the patronage of an international jury.

Created and directed by Jean-Pierre Blanc, in the past 21 years the festival has established itself as international launchpad for new talent as well as setter of trends in fashion design and photography alike. More than three hundred designers from all over the world have presented their premiere collections here, while over 80 young and innovative photographers have exhibited their work. Held at the Villa Noailles, the landmark cubist villa built in the 1920’s by Mallet-Stevens, each festival equally hosts several exhibitions that explore the permeating boundaries between art, photography and fashion.

Every year the festival attracts a growing number of designers, industrialists, trendwatchers, agents, buyers, department stores, textile federations, distributors, gallerists, museum directors. The festival's aim is to offer young talents a genuine professional opportunity by providing them with material and logistical support as well as profitable contacts and intensive media exposure. While the jury awards the annual winner of the festival, the general public is invited to vote for an audience award. All exhibitions are admission-free and remain open until early June.
